The car park at Coalhouse Fort is around 20 minutes drive away and as you get there you see less and less traffic. It just seems like a corner of Essex that no one knows about.
It's a bleak and quiet walk, mostly on concrete. I took it fairly easy because it was my first walk of the year. My first mapped walk for 7 weeks too, so I am way out of practice.
