Corringham is only about 15 minutes drive away and it's not a town I usually go to, but I had to take one of my kids out there today so I decided to have a walk around to see what was around.
There were a lot of quiet roads in the estate which led to various footpaths through great big new-town-ish green spaces. You don't expect to find places like this as they are a bit hidden in plain sight.
I wonder what the story was behind "The Catcracker". I was told afterwards that it was the name of a pub (which is now a Co-op) but that still didn't explain who was going round cracking cats.
