Back to the Tilbury sea wall for the second time this year and I left it quite late, so it was about 3.30pm when I got there, and with the sun setting somewhere behind a bank of clouds just
after 4 it was quite dark when I finished. (And to my relief, the little car park hadn't been locked up).
I used vesselfinder.com to track the ship that passed me on my way back. It was a cargo vessel - forget the name now - going to Dagenham from Augusta in Sicily. Hard to imagine other people's lives sometimes which go completely under the radar from your own one. "I'm just off to Dagenham in a great big boat to pick up 20 tons of coathangers. Be back in 2 weeks."
